Served as a Hydrologist at the U.S. Geological Survey in Reston VA (1988-2022). He has served as an appointed Board Member of the Fauquier County Water and Sanitation Authority (2011-present) and has been Adjunct Faculty at Randoph-Macon College (1994-1998) and Johns Hopkins University (2001-2012) in addition to teaching at George Washington University (2021-present).
